How much do missed appointments cost your salon?

A booked slot that stays empty is a lost service, and a dog that could have had it. RDV360 tackles all three causes: a reminder for forgetting, a deposit for commitment, a waiting list to refill a freed-up slot.

What a missed appointment really costs

With services that often last more than an hour, a slot that falls through is not half an hour lost, it is half a day cut short. The main cause is not bad faith, it is forgetting: about one appointment in seven is not kept in the industry (industry study). And a slot freed up at the last minute almost never gets rebooked, especially on Saturdays: the pet owner who would have wanted it has booked elsewhere, or later.

Reminders, against forgetting

Before each appointment, an SMS and an email go out on their own, with the date, the time and the salon’s name. It is the gentlest lever, for the most frequent cause. And the next grooming reminder brings dogs back at the right interval, every six to eight weeks. See the reminders page.

A deposit, to secure the booking

For a full clip, a long dematting session or a mobile grooming visit, the deposit is paid online at booking and deducted from the total at the salon. You set the amount, as a fixed sum or a percentage, depending on the service. If the pet owner cancels within the rules, you refund from the calendar, in one click.

Targeted, never forced on everyone

Asking a ten-year regular for a guarantee would be awkward. That is why you choose who you ask: new clients you do not know yet, or long services. Your loyal clients book as before, without noticing any change.

A cancellation? The waiting list fills the slot

When a pet owner cancels, the slot is not lost for everyone: you offer it to clients on the waiting list, straight from the calendar. The one who wanted that Saturday gets it, and your day stays full.

I've been using RDV360 for more than 5 years: the software is very comprehensive, easy to use, and everything works really well. I was able to compare it with another very well-known service: much more expensive and no better. Nothing but positives!

Frequently asked questions

How do I reduce missed appointments at the salon?

Three levers that work together: automatic reminders by SMS and email (against forgetting, with the next grooming reminder to bring pets back at the right interval), an online deposit requested at booking (which commits the pet owner on high-risk services), and the waiting list (which fills cancellations).

How does the deposit work?

The pet owner pays an amount online when booking, deducted from the total at the salon. You choose the amount, as a fixed sum or a percentage, and the services it applies to. If the pet owner cancels within the rules, you refund from the calendar, in one click.

Can I ask only some clients for it?

Yes, and it is actually recommended. You can ask for a deposit only from new clients, on long services (full clip, dematting) or for mobile grooming, and let your regulars book as before, without noticing any change.

Are reminders enough?

For forgetting, often yes, and the next grooming reminder brings dogs back at the right interval. But a reminder does not protect you from casual bookings or from slots canceled the day before: that is where the deposit takes over.

A client cancels at the last minute: is the slot lost?

No. You offer it to clients on the waiting list, straight from the calendar: the spot goes to someone who was waiting for it, and your day stays full.

Do I have to pay for this?

Online booking and the calendar are free. SMS reminders come with the Pro plan (from €29.90 excl. VAT/month) and the online deposit with the Pro++ plan. Prices are public, no quote needed.
